SPIE, the European leader in electrical and mechanical engineering and HVAC services, energy and communication systems, has acquired GarsideLaycock to further grow its UK business SPIE UK, develop its UK facilities management offering and expand its presence in the North of England.

GarsideLaycock have been appointed as Lancashire County Council’s Strategic Partners for Category C – Reactive Repairs and Maintenance & Planned Maintenance Works Framework 2012 to 2016 up to £900k per annum.
GarsideLaycock has received confirmation they have successfully been placed on the Building Fabric Framework for Merseyside Police Authority after close evaluation and assessment. Mobilisation of the contract will begin shortly.
Secretary of State for Justice has made the provisional decision to award a Framework Contract for the Minor Works Framework Contract to GarsideLaycock after scoring highly and achieving the top ranking of number one in the Awards criteria.
This 18 month extendable contract for the provision of maintenance services across Greater Manchester commences in February 2011.
